Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 25 , 2026

This policy explains what data Spy-Casino collects about visitors to the site, why we need it, who we share it with, and what you can do if you want to change any of that. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than legalese — if anything is unclear, just write to us.

1. Who we are

Spy-Casino is an independent online casino review site at spy-casino.com. We're not a casino and don't accept bets — we only test and rate operators.

For anything related to this policy or your data, email [email protected] or reach out through our Contact Page.

2. What data we collect

Contact form. When you write to us through the form on the site, you provide your name, email, the subject, and the message itself. We use this only to reply to you. If you write about a specific topic (say, a complaint about a casino or a partnership proposal), your message gets routed to the right team — Support, Marketing, Complaints, or Teams.

Newsletter signup. If you subscribe to Spy-Casino updates, we save your email and, if you provide it, your name, so we can send you news and reviews. You can unsubscribe at any time — there's a link in every email, so you don't need to contact us separately to do it.

Technical data. Just by visiting the site, a standard set of technical data is collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, which pages you viewed, how long you spent on the site, and where you came from (say, a search engine or a direct link). This is done through web analytics and helps us understand what's working well on the site and what needs fixing — for example, which reviews people read all the way through and which pages they close quickly.

Clicks through to casino sites. When you click a link to a casino partner (buttons like "Get" or "Play"), the click itself is recorded, along with the fact that you came from Spy-Casino — via a referral ID and related parameters in the link. This lets the partner know where the visitor came from and, in turn, credits us under the affiliate program. We don't share your name, email, or anything else from the contact form with the casino partner — only the fact that a click happened.

What we don't collect. We don't request or collect card details, ID numbers, passwords to other services, or similarly sensitive information — there's simply no feature on the site that would need it.

3. Why we need this data

We use the data we collect for a handful of specific purposes: to reply to contact form messages; to send the newsletter to people who signed up for it; to analyse how visitors use the site and make it better; to keep track of affiliate clicks to casino sites; and, to a limited extent, to protect the site from spam and abuse through the form.

We don't use your data for anything beyond this, and we don't build user profiles from it for third-party advertising.

4. Cookies

The site uses three types of cookies.

  • Strictly necessary — without these, the site simply wouldn't work properly: for example, they remember your interface language or that you already dismissed a pop-up. They can't be turned off without breaking some functionality.
  • Analytics — help us understand traffic: how many people visit, which pages are popular, where visitors come from. This data is mostly processed in aggregate, rather than as a "file" on a specific individual.
  • Affiliate — set when you click through to a casino site, so the click is correctly credited to us and isn't lost if, say, you register at the casino a day later rather than right away.

You can restrict or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Some site features — like remembering your preferences — may stop working properly as a result.

5. Who we share data with

We don't sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may only be seen by:

  • service providers that keep the site running technically — hosting, our web analytics tool, our newsletter delivery service. They process data on our behalf, under our instruction, not for their own purposes;
  • casino partners — but only to the extent of "this visitor came from Spy-Casino" via a referral ID, without any personal data from the contact form or newsletter;
  • government authorities — where required by law, for example in response to an official request.

If the services we use change in the future (say, we switch to a different analytics or newsletter tool), that won't require separate consent, as long as the new provider processes data for the same purposes and with a comparable level of protection.

6. How long we keep data

We keep data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above — not indefinitely "just in case":

  • contact form messages — for as long as the request is being handled, plus a reasonable period afterwards in case we need to refer back to the conversation (for example, if you write again about the same issue);
  • newsletter email — until you unsubscribe; after you do, we may keep a record of the unsubscribe itself for a while, so we don't accidentally start emailing you again;
  • technical data — for the standard retention period set by the analytics tool we use, typically no more than a few years;
  • affiliate click data — for as long as needed to reconcile affiliate reporting with casino operators.

7. Your rights

When it comes to your own data, you can:

  • find out what data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct it, if it's wrong or outdated;
  • ask us to delete it;
  • unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time;
  • object to your data being used for analytics.

To use any of these rights, just write to us — contact details are in section 1. We may ask you to confirm the request is actually from you (for example, by writing from the same email you've contacted us from before), so we don't accidentally hand your data to someone else.

We usually respond within a few weeks.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data from unauthorised access, leaks, or loss — for example, by limiting who on the team has access to form submissions.

But like any site on the internet, we can't guarantee 100% protection — when you send us something through the contact form, try not to include sensitive information that isn't needed for your request.

9. Children

This site is for users aged 18 and over only. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you become aware that someone under 18 has given us their data, let us know and we'll delete it.

10. Links to third-party sites

The site links to casino operators and other third-party resources. As soon as you follow such a link, that site's privacy policy applies — not ours.

We're not responsible for how those sites collect, use, or protect your data, and we'd recommend reading their policy separately before leaving any data there.

11. Visitors from other countries

Spy-Casino is available to users in different countries, and your data may be processed in a country other than the one you're in — for example, if our technical service providers are based elsewhere.

We try to keep the level of data protection consistent regardless of where processing actually happens.

12. If this policy changes

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add a new feature to the site or the law changes. The date at the top of the page will update whenever we do.

If a change is significant, we may also let you know on the site rather than just quietly updating the date.

13. Contact us

If you have a question about this policy, your data, or want to use one of the rights from section 7, email [email protected] or reach out through our Contact Page.
